Start your day with a refreshing stroll along the iconic Marina Beach, the world's second longest sandy beach, where the vast expanse of golden sand and the sound of the waves set a wonderful tone for the day ahead. Make your way to the magnificent Kapaleeswarar Temple, an 8th century Dravidian style shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, where the intricate architecture and spiritual atmosphere are genuinely awe inspiring. Head over to the historic Fort St. George, Chennai's famous British era stronghold, and spend some time walking through the Fort Museum to admire its fascinating collection of colonial relics.
