Your adventure kicks off the moment you land at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. From there, you will begin the scenic drive toward Gangtok, a charming hill city sitting at an elevation of 1437 meters above sea level. The four hour journey itself is a treat, with the roads winding through lush green landscapes that slowly reveal the character of Sikkim. By the time you reach the city and settle into your hotel, you will feel both refreshed and ready for what lies ahead.
If the excitement of being in a new place keeps you from sitting still, head out to MG Marg for a relaxed evening stroll. This lively stretch is the heart of Gangtok and a wonderful place to soak in the local culture, watch people go about their evening, and get a feel for the city at your own pace.
