Yamunotri is where the Char Dham journey begins, and it holds a special place as the abode of Maa Yamuna. You drive up to Jankichatti and from there walk a 6 km trek to reach the temple. For those who need it, pony and palki services are available at an extra cost. Before entering the temple for darshan, devotees take a holy dip at Jamunabai Kund, which is a meaningful ritual in itself.
Gangotri Temple Darshan Details
The second dham on this journey is Gangotri Temple, dedicated to Goddess Ganga. Along the way, you can stop at Gangnani to soak in the natural hot water spring, which many travelers find refreshing. The road passes through the lovely Harshil Valley with mountain scenery all around. After temple darshan of gangotri temple the group returns to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.
Kedarnath Temple Visit Details
Kedarnath is one of the most revered temples of Lord Shiva and holds its place among the twelve Jyotirlingas. From the base point, the 18 km stretch to the temple can be covered on foot or through pony, palki, or helicopter services available at additional cost. Once darshan is done, many visitors also visit o Bhairavnath Temple.
Badrinath Temple Visit Details
Badrinath Temple, dedicated to Lloand most famous dham for Lord Vishnu, marks the fin. A holy dip at Tapta Kund before entering the temple is something most pilgrims look forward to. While here, nearby spots like Mana Village, Bhim Pul, Vyas Gufa, and the Saraswati River are worth visiting.
Haridwar Sightseeing and Return Journey
The tour starts and wraps up in Haridwar, which is rightly known as the gateway to Char Dham. On the way back, travelers may get the chance to visit Dhari Devi Temple, Devprayag, and Rishikesh depending on how the schedule works out.
